2023: As Vice President, I’m The Most Qualified Aspirant – Osinbajo

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, in continuation of his country-wide consultations with stakeholders and All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates, said on Friday that among the presidential aspirants vying to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, he is the most experienced and competent to be the country’s next president.

Osinbajo, who spoke at the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun Oyetunji Larooye ll, in Osogbo, said that his aspiration was necessitated by his commitment to offering himself for service to the people and the nation.

He stated that his experiences as Vice President and acting President exposed him to the country’s unique characteristics and opportunities, and that he is determined to build on this and place the country on the development map.

“I’ve come to speak with APC members in the state ahead of the presidential election,” he said. As a presidential candidate in the APC, I’ve come to meet with the delegates who will vote at the party’s upcoming national convention. I’ve visited several states, and Osun is one of them.

“I’ve been in government for seven years, including as vice president and acting president.” I have the necessary experience and am capable of leading the country. “There is no aspect of Nigerian governance that I do not comprehend.” I’m here to pay you homage first, Kabiyesi; I can’t come to Osogbo and just speak to the party delegates without paying you a visit.

My visit to Osogbo is critical; our people require a capable leader.”

In response, the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, described the vice president as an intelligent man who had performed admirably as the country’s president.
