Former Presidential Aspirants under the people’s Democratic Party have expressed optimism that the party will come out stronger soon and is set to win the upcoming general elections.
At a strategic meeting in solidarity with the party and the candidate of the people’s Democratic Party Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the Former Presidential Aspirants expressed their joy at the progress made so far in reconciling all party faithful’s. They resolved to work assiduously for the victory of the party in the 2023 elections while seeking ways to amicably resolve the post- primaries crises rocking the party.
The Ovation Magazine had reported that Dr. Dele Momodu, the publisher of Ovation magazine, hosted the group’s first meeting at The Penthouse in Lagos
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Dele Momodu said,
“The duty of every responsible party man or woman is to work hard for the victory of your political party. This is the reason some of us, former Presidential aspirants of PDP, have decided to come together to work for the unity and progress of our dear party and find an amicable settlement of all burning issues.”
“The following aspirants were present at the meeting Mrs. Tari Oliver, Charles Ugwu, Chikwendu Kalu, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa and others from different parts of Nigerian who have established lines of communications with party elders and stakeholders.”
After the meeting, the team also proceeded to pay a courtesy visit to former Governor Ayodele Fayose who is currently recuperating from a major surgery.
