Two teenage cultists arrested whileon mission to avenge member’sd£ath in Lagos

Two suspected members of a notorious cult gang have been arrested by police while on a mission to avenge the k!lling of a member by rival gang in the Agege area of Lagos.

It was gathered that Alimi Abdurasak,18, and Eniola Shamsideen, 18, were arrested by operatives from Elere Police Station, Lagos State Police Command at about 1.50am along Agbotikuyo area of Agege.

The suspects who had attempted to bolt away on siting an anti-crime patrol team stationed along Agbotikuyo, but were cornered by the officers who had suspected their presence in the area.

The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest said the two suspected cult gang members were nabbed on October 6, 2024.

Hundeyin said the suspects are both from the Oniwaya area of Agege.

“At the time of the arrest, the suspects were found with a black bag. When the bag was searched, two axes and two bottles were recovered from them. Investigation is ongoing and the suspects would soon be charged to court,” the PPRO added.
