The Exploitative Tactics of Business Owners: A Call to Action
As a concerned citizen, I’m appalled by the growing trend of business owners exploiting the general public. Despite government-imposed hardships, they continue to inflict more suffering for profit.
My recent experience at a filling station (which I’ll leave unnamed) left me outraged. After agreeing to buy fuel at ₦1,200 per liter, I was informed that I’d need to pay an additional transfer fee. I refused and walked away, not because I couldn’t afford it, but because I couldn’t conscience supporting such exploitative practices.
This isn’t just about personal inconvenience; it’s about the countless individuals who struggle to make ends meet. How do they survive when faced with unnecessary extra charges?
We may not have control over government economic policies, but we can collectively boycott businesses that prioritize exploitation over reasonable profits on people.
An injustice to one is an injustice to all. As someone who loves my country and its people, I’ll do my best to protect and promote fairness.
To business owners, I urge you: rethink your values and prioritize customer well-being, fair pricing, transparency, and social responsibility.
To fellow citizens, let’s stand together against exploitation. Let’s choose compassion and justice over profit-driven greed.
