Recall that security operatives trailed and apprehended Aminu on the 18th of November following his post on Twitter accusing Buhari’s wife of spending the country’s funds.

Aminu upon his arrest was eventually arraigned before a High Court in Abuja on the 30th of November.

The development stirred reaction online as Nigerians called for the unconditional release of the final-year student.

Aisha amid the outrage on Friday withdrew the suit filed against Aminu on Friday.

The prosecution counsel, Fidelis Ogbobe on Friday said the First Lady had decided to withdraw the case due to the intervention of well-meaning Nigerians.
