“Arrest Them, Nothing Will Happen” – Omokri Tells FG What To Do To Peter Obi And Datti-Ahmed

Kindly share this story

Former presidential aide and public commentator, Reno Omokri has called for the arrest of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.

Omokri who accused the two politicians of making treasonous comments urged the federal government to arrest them whenever they make such comments again.

He boasted that nothing will happen if both men are arrested and went ahead to cite the example of how the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu was arrested.

Taking to his Twitter page on Wednesday, Omokri wrote: “The next time either Peter Obi or Datti Baba Ahmed open their mouths to make treasonous comments, the Federal Government should arrest them. Nothing will happen. What happened when FG arrested Nnamdi Kanu? Did heaven fall? Arrest the wimpy simps if they blab anyhow!”

We recall the federal government through the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed during a recent interaction with some international media organizations in Washington, USA, accused and warned Obi against inciting Nigerians to violence over the outcome of the 2023 presidential election.

According to Mohammed, it is wrong for Obi to seek redress in court over the outcome of the presidential election and on the other hand incite people to violence.

However, in response, Obi denied allegations of inciting people against the Nigerian state or encouraging anyone to undermine Nigeria as accused by the Minister.

The former Anambra State Governor said the government has launched a campaign of calumny against him to try and demarket him.
