The National Working Committee of the APC headed by its national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu has announced Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the party’s consensus candidate for the 2023 Presidential elections.
This announcement was met with the displeasure of APC Governors who had touted a southern candidate as their preference.

However, the party made it clear that other aspirants including Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; Vice President Yemi Osinbajo; Dr. Kayode Fayemi and David Umahi, among others are free to contest the primary at the convention holding tomorrow at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
Information reaching TOB revealed that Governor Yahaya Bello, Babagana Zulum and others angrily walked out of the meeting called by Alhaji Adamu to make the announcement.
