The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided the home of Rochas Okorocha, former governor of Imo State and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, on Tuesday.
According to the former governor’s aide the operatives, who stormed the house in Maitama without an arrest warrant, insisted on forcefully taking him away.
The aide, who didn’t want to be mentioned, claimed the operation is targeted at stopping the former governor from attending the APC presidential screening.
This is coming 48 hours after Okorocha hosted other presidential aspirants from the Southeast, where they forged an alliance ahead of the presidential primaries.
