Hon. Seye Gbaroye, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Oyo State Government, and the organizers of the Ibadan Children’s Funfair, where a tragic stampede resulted in the loss of 35 young lives
Gbaroye, a PDP house of Representatives aspirant for the 2027 election, described the incident as “sad and unfortunate.” He sympathized with the affected families, the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the organizers, including Agidigbo Radio and the Women in Need of Guidance and Support (WINGS) foundation.
Gbaroye urged the Oyo State Government and security agencies to establish guidelines for public gatherings to prevent similar tragedies in the future. He commended the state government for investigating the incident and supporting those affected.
