Kogi Tribunal: Tari Oliver Extends Congratulations to Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan on Tribunal Victory

The Deputy Director-General of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Women Presidential Campaign Council, Mrs. Tari Oliver, extends her heartfelt congratulations to Senator Natasha H. Akpoti-Uduaghan for her triumph at the Kogi tribunal. Senator Natasha now represents Kogi Central Senatorial Zone, and her victory, according to Mrs. Oliver, marks a promising sign of PDP’s potential success in the upcoming Kogi gubernatorial election scheduled for November.

Mrs. Oliver, who stood as the sole female presidential aspirant for the PDP during its presidential primaries, expressed her unwavering belief in Senator Natasha’s ultimate victory at the tribunal. She pointed out that the APC had shamelessly manipulated figures to deny Natasha her rightful mandate in the earlier senatorial election this year.

From Mrs. Oliver’s perspective, the tribunal’s ruling reflects a clear rejection of the APC government by the people of Kogi Central and, by extension, the entire state of Kogi. She commended the tribunal’s judgment, describing it as brilliant and straightforward.

In a statement issued from Lagos, Mrs. Oliver emphasized that Akpoti-Uduaghan’s tribunal victory is well-deserved and a testament to the democratic will of the majority. She asserted, “Your victory is a testimony of your recognition, immense ability, and contributions to Kogi State.” She further added, “Your victory at the tribunal shows that the wonderful people of Kogi Central clearly authorized your candidature.”

It’s noteworthy that the election petition tribunal, convened in Lokoja, declared Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the rightful winner of the February 25 Kogi Central Senatorial election
