They are incredibly venomous. Their venom is highly poisonous and enough to kllll animals in few hours, and humans within seconds. Their venom rapidly decreases bloood pressure, expedites bloood loss, and sends a victim into shock, rendering it too weak to fiight.
As strong as they are, they are capable of klllng buffalos and would swallow gooat in one feeding.
An average human can’t outrun a Komodo dragon. They can run around 20 km per hour, and an average human can run 10 to 13 km per hour.
Komodo dragons are the heaviest lizards on earth.
One Komodo dragon can reach up to 10 feet ( about half as tall as a giraffe) in length and weigh more than 300 pounds (that’s 0.32 times the weight of a horse).
Komodo dragons eat anything meat and there is nothing that looks like meat that they can’t eat. They go to graves to eat deead bodies.
Komodos clear of the carcasses left over by lions and other carnivores and they even eeat their own babies when they do not have what to feed on. That’s why hatchlings (baby Komodo dragons) hide on the tree or roll in poo so adult Komodos can perceive them to be too smelly to eat.
Female Komodo dragons don’t necessarily need the males to reproduce. They decide and make move for their own reproduction.
