Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, has paid a visit to former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
According to Reports, Kwankwaso, a NNPP presidential candidate for 2023, paid a visit to the former Nigerian leader with a former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, Buba Galadima.
According to this online news platform, the politicians met at Chief Obasanjo’s residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Sharing pictures from the visit which took place on Friday, 20th May, the NNPP on its official Twitter handle wrote; “His Excellency Sen. @KwankwasoRM , PhD, FNSE, Presidential Aspirant and National leader of @0fficialNNPP
in company of Engr. Buba Galadima paid a courtesy visit (20th May, 2022) to Former President Chief Olusegun
@Obasanjo in Abeokuta, Ogun State.”

Though the details of the visit had not been made public as of press time, it is believed to be a consultative visit as part of the NNPP’s efforts to win the Nigerian elections in 2023.
In a recent interview, Galadima stated that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is the best candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
He claimed that Kwankwaso, a former Kano State governor, will run unopposed on the New Nigeria Peoples Party platform (NNPP).
The former ally of President Muhammadu Buhari said the NNPP’s popularity is making the APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nervous.

“There are only two political parties in Nigeria today: the NNPP and the rest,” he said. It is the victorious party.
“It’s 22 years old, but it was reborn two months ago.” We’ve seen [shivers] run down the spines of all those you fear because they know our candidate will be Nigeria’s next president, God willing.”
