Bauchi State’s Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, in a moment of significance, unveils the commencement of the 2024 Ramadan Palliatives distribution initiative, led by His Excellency, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.
This humanitarian effort is poised to alleviate the plight of our citizens, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan. A notable 110,000 bags, containing vital food staples such as rice, millet, corn, and sugar, will be disseminated across all 20 local government areas within the state.
At the ceremonial launch hosted at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, Governor Mohammed imparted a resounding charge to the distribution committee, local government caretaker chairmen, and other stakeholders. His directive stands unequivocal – the equitable distribution of these palliatives must transcend any political inclinations, reaching every deserving household indiscriminately.
Noteworthy dignitaries present, including the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, the Jarman Bauchi, Alhaji Garba Mohammed Noma, and the PDP Chairman, Hamza Koshe Akuyam, lauded the Governor’s compassionate initiative, invoking blessings upon him.
Taking the helm as the Chairman of the 2024 Ramadan Palliatives Distribution Committee, the Chief of Staff, Dr. Aminu Hassan Gamawa, affirms meticulous plans devised to facilitate seamless and equitable distribution to intended beneficiaries across the state.
The Ministry, in synergy with committee members and stakeholders, pledges an unwavering commitment to ensure exhaustive efforts in reaching every corner of Bauchi State with these vital provisions. It is a collective obligation to ensure that this noble endeavor translates into sustainable progress and prosperity for all citizens.
